also we are going to rehearse with thomas grimm and are planning to play with lissie rettenwander soon.

so stay tuned 😉

five days…last week

last wednesday we went to bratislava to see the ZS .. the whole trip was very spontaneous.. i was really happy about meeting them again after having met them in montreal…

so we took the train from the new main station..

we went to the A4 where they were playing with a Slowakian DIY Instruments Orchestra…

we were talking, drinking beer, sitting in the sun.. and unfortunately katrin and i had to leave before the zs were playing to catch the last train back to vienna.

on friday majas musik markt started. katrin and i were sitting at the snim table .. it was really hot inside.. and even hotter outside.. some people came to visit us.. one of them was sam shalabi who happened to be in vienna for the first time and who i also met in montreal!

Imagemajas musik markt was also the first opportunity to listen to our tape unicorn!

in the evening there were lot’s of great and very different concerts like neuschnee, bulbul etc.
the next morning we had to get up really early because of a first meeting with slobodan kajkut who composed a piece that we are going to play at the grenzwerte festival on june 7th with gabi teufner and gloria damijan.
later i went to the amann studios to prepare for the concerts in the evening where three duos were playing: Dafne VICENTE-SANDOVAL and Klaus FILIP, Andreas TROBOLLOWITSCH and Peter KUTIN who played a snare drum duo, as well as “DIE UNFUGE” with David SCHWEIGHART and Stefan FRAUNBERGER. katrin went to the burgenland to have BBQ.
on sunday we met again.. to sit in the park, have some lunch and go again to majas musik markt … all in all.. a lot happend…

ah yes and there was also the digital release of ‘caressing’ (a track you can find on our tape) on screaming claws.. check this out ->

on sunday

Black Biuti feat. Grimm

Last Friday Black Biuti took part in a workshop for sound engineer students at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna … for this reason we cooperated with Thomas Grimm – Black Biuti’s playing merged perfectly with the intense sounds of the bassoon… after rehearsing during the afternoon there was a concert in the evening.. wait for the recordings to be online!

Screaming Claws

hey there.. I wanna tell you about something really great! There are people over the world making touching, intense, fluorescent music.. some of them are part of the collective Screaming Claws … Natalie Chami (Chicago), Brian Griffith (LA) and Steffi Neuhuber (Vienna) wanna bring some good stuff to you! lay down and listen to….

“A collection of interesting folk and peculiar sounds. Tingling up your spine and out your eyes; may cause euphoria and fear, but always worth a listen.

The philosophy of ScreamingClaws extends to the history of Philosophy itself: because we cannot exist in the past nor the future, we may only exist in what we are conscious of currently, at the present moment. Memories are imagined remembrances of what was and the future is a prophecy and clairvoyant hope of our destination. We exist only in the unmeasurable abyss of Now and improvisational music is a way to explain it. As a bridge from the past to the future, every time you follow your bliss you fortify its strength. Improvisational music is why ScreamingClaws came into being. Listen. Contribute. Expand.”
